About Martin Cranfield Associates Limited

MCAL are an IPPC and PPC specialist company focused on Environmental Permitting under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (2016) (As Amended).

Our team of consultant inspectors and administrators each have been working for MCAL for a number of years, to apply the DEFRA requirements and ensure authorities meet their statutory obligations of environmental permitting. Our IPPC specialists work across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and our team has a combined experience in excess of 40 years.

The Company was incorporated in 2005 by Martin Cranfield following 3 years as a sole trader.  Over the years the company has grown from being Martin alone to a strong team of professional and experienced inspectors and dedicated administrators. The company growth has been based almost entirely on performance and reputation within the industry.

We have grown into a national company, operating on behalf of District, Borough, City and London Borough Authorities, providing authorised officers for LA's.  We also assist in appeal and prosecution cases and have served both enforcement and suspension notices where necessary. Our team undertakes over 350 inspections annually, from A2 installations to Reduced Fee Activities. We operate regularly for a number of authorities across the country.  Bespoke industry services are also offered.
